Ella Langley rose to prominence in 2024 with her debut album, Hungover, and since then, fans have been curious to know the country music icon’s dating history. The 26-year-old has been passionate about music since her childhood, but mainly started garnering online fame during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Langley’s continuous presence on TikTok led to her rise to online fame. In 2021, she finally signed her first publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville. A year later, Langley got an opportunity to be the opening act for Randy Houser’s concerts.
After two years of multiple single releases, Langley released her debut album, Hungover, in 2024. It is the same year that she sparked dating rumors with Riley Green. The duo collaborated on the song “You Look Like You Love Me.”
The song went viral on social media and climbed several music charts. It ranked 30th on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as 7th on the Billboard US Country Chart. The collaborative track also won several awards, including Single of the Year at the 2025 ACM Awards.
Fans noticed the “tension” between the musician duo at their public appearances and speculated if they are dating. One fan posted on X, “Anyone else notice tension between Ella Langley and Riley Green at the ACMs tonight? Or is it just me?”
However, the couple denied the dating rumors. The “Half of Me” singer addressed the speculations during his appearance at the Kiss Country 99.9 radio station. Green explained, “(It’s) the same reason I think that, like, George (Jones) and Tammy (Wynette) … Johnny Cash and June Carter … and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It’s like everybody just wants to believe in that couple, you know, if you can have that” (via Life & Style).
On The Viall Files podcast, Green also delved into their bond, making it clear that they are “strictly friends.” The “Worst Way” hitmaker quipped, “Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway. When we first started having success with that song, I kinda told Ella, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of things said, but I mean you don’t really gotta play into it or not play into it.’”
