British actor Tom Holland chose to be the quiet support behind Zendaya’s Met Gala 2025 glam entry. The Spider-Man alum had previously explained why he would not attend certain red carpet events along with his fiancée.
While speaking with Men’s Health, the Marvel star explained why he never typically walks the red carpet for Zendaya’s events. The 28-year-old actor noted, “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Zendaya showed off her massive engagement ring while posing for the camera at the 2025 Met Gala, even though Holland was not present. For the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme, the Dune star sported an all-white menswear look with a matching fedora.
Contrasting with the minimal all-white suit, Zendaya chose to bring the bling with her rumored-to-be 5-carat engagement ring and ox-blood nails. Previously, the Challengers’ star debuted the elongated cushion-cut diamond ring at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
Zendaya and Holland reportedly got engaged during the year-end holiday. TMZ revealed that the actor popped the question to the Emmy-winning actress in a very intimate setting. Holland chose to propose at one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States.
Holland’s father, Dominic, revealed that the actor had “everything planned out” for the memorable event. Dominic explained in a January 10 Patreon post. “He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear…” (via E!Online).
Tom Holland and Zendaya recently made their first public appearance together since announcing their engagement in January. Photographers captured the Captain America: Civil War star on the set of Euphoria. It appeared that Holland paid a visit to Zendaya and took the actress’s dog, Noon, with him.
