Dave Coulier Reveals He’s Cancer Free & Also Became Grandfather On Same Day

Multi-faceted actor Dave Coulier has come out to reveal an endearing tidbit about the day he overcame his cancer diagnosis. In a recent interview, the Full House alum disclosed that he received the uplifting news of his recovery in the very same vicinity and timing as the birth of his grandchild.

During his recent appearance on the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, hosted by his former co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, Dave Coulier opened up about becoming a grandfather and getting to know about his cancer recovery on the very same day.

The actor/comedian noted, “I got the good news the day the baby was born. So I heard the news and I was so excited, and then Luc called us and he said, ‘Hey, the baby just was born.’ And so, I mean, it was an amazing day. It was really amazing, you know? So we were like, ‘Oh, this is just too much!'” 

Dave Coulier became cancer-free on March 26, 2025. Meanwhile, his son Luc, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jayne Modean, welcomed his son, Chance Lee, with spouse Alex one day later, on March 27, according to Parade. Talking about the latest addition to their clan, Coulier stated that the baby is “healthy” and weighs 7 pounds, 6 ounces. Currently stationed in Michigan, the Muppet Babies star is planning to visit his son’s family in Sacramento later this month.

The news of Dave Coulier’s cancer diagnosis broke in November 2024. Explaining the seasoned impressionist’s condition, a representative of Coulier noted that the star suffered from swelling in his lymph nodes as a result of an upper respiratory infection, according to People. Upon further assessment, Coulier was diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, leading to an extensive treatment routine in the aftermath.
