According to Page Six‘s exclusive sources, Kelce “definitely discussed” retirement considerations with Swift. The publication reports that Swift encouraged the NFL tight end to continue his career, preferring he conclude his playing days “on a high note.”
Previously, the NFL star opened up about his dilemmas regarding his career on a New Heights podcast episode. After the Super Bowl 2025 defeat, he talked about what made him return to another season of the NFL.
The 35-year-old gushed, “I think the biggest thing is that I f—— love playing the game of football.” He added, “I love playing. I still feel like I could play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year.”
The loss of the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles was also a crucial factor. Kelce admitted, “It was probably the biggest factor.” After enjoying a flourishing career, Swift’s beau felt like, he owed the team, “a whole lot more effort and focus.”
