Exploring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill’s friendship

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill’s friendship dates back to 2012 when they first appeared together in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Since then, the duo has built a strong and enduring connection based on mutual respect and humor.

In 2018, Just Jared reported that DiCaprio and Hill spent time together on an outing in New York City. Beyond this, the best friends frequently enjoy yacht trips, attend exclusive parties, and meet up for casual hangouts, further strengthening their close bond.

The actors have also showcased their playful side by frequently pranking each other. According to a 2016 Time magazine report, DiCaprio once scared Hill by rushing toward him near a restaurant, pretending to be an overexcited fan. Speaking about the prank, Hill said, “It was funny! I was totally taken off guard.”

During the promotion of their movie Don’t Look Up in 2021, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill showered each other with praise. As reported by WION, the Titanic actor called Hill an “absolute genius” and lauded his “ability to improvise and take control of a scene.” DiCaprio also expressed his desire to work with Hill on future projects.

According to the outlet, Hill, on the other hand, was deeply appreciative of DiCaprio’s words. Referring to the Inception star, he said, “There’s been no more loyal friend in anything I’ve ever done in show business. And then, aside from that, putting all those feelings aside, the way he performs when they yell ‘action’—it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen.”
