Kylie Jenner Said Some Things

I don’t know if Kris allows Kylie to do interviews so they can all take turns at Thanksgiving reading them aloud and making fun of her or what, but they let her do another for Glamour. They say she “landed her debut GLAMOUR magazine cover”. I only mention that because they made it seem important. Here’s the topics they let Kylie Jenner say with somebody recording:

Feminism:

“I do consider myself a feminist,” she says. “I’m a young woman, for one thing, and I don’t depend on a man or anybody else.  I make my own money and start my own businesses, and I feel like I’m an inspiration for a lot of young girls who want to stand on their own.”

All of this is technically true since she just depends on her mother to leverage her social media presence into a check for posing with products by the pool. I’ll leave it up to you to decide if that’s an inspiration to young girls. It sounds fairly simple. 

Stacking Money:

“I haven’t had a dollar of my mum’s money for five years,” she said in the June issue. “Ever since I started earning my own money, I’ve paid for everything: all my cars, houses, clothes, everything.  I like to know exactly what’s going on and I’m actually quite careful with what I spend.  We all are as a family.”

You kind of like Kris Jenner here, because she has Kylie trained not just to be a salaried employee,  but to think it was her idea. Gotta respect that. You respect it because Kylie leases her own birthday gifts so TMZ will think Tyga surprised her. That’s just a waste of money that a “Kim is naked” pic or a “Khloe is pregnant” story will have to make up later. Best to keep Kylie bi-weekly. 

Selling Makeup

“I only show people what I want them to see,” she said. ” And in time, I think I’ll just slowly start moving behind the scenes.  The show has to end eventually, and I’m not going to leave until we’re done with it, but by 20 I want to have the whole of my cosmetics line out because that’s my primary focus.  I definitely won’t want to be doing anything else that would make me more public.”

The first part is about social media, so that explains the lack of #tbt posts prior to 2014. Nobody wants to be reminded. Kris had very little hope but she managed to flip Kylie for probably less that $200K and she’s probably already got that back. The second part is how she wants to do the makeup stuff and get off social media. Kylie is a girl, so she has an excuse to sell makeup unlike Rob who could only come up with socks. That business model just falls apart on its own when you read what you just wrote. But I guess women will always use makeup unless there’s an apocalypse and even then you could accept trade offers. But I don’t know about this whole not being on social media thing. She should get her lawyer to review her contract.
