A report on Crave’s Daily Dead website has movie theaters around the country marking the 60th anniversary of the release of the original Godzilla by showing it on the big screen again. That right, the 1954 movie that spawned more than two dozen sequels, generations of toys, a cartoon and redefined the monster movie will show up in all its black and white majesty in at least nine cities over the next few months.
The first screening will be in Austin during SXSW (natch) with more expected to follow. (We assume, IF the initial screenings are a success.)
