Week 15 Top Pickups
-
Cordarelle Patterson WR - Minnesota (27% owned)
CP made my Top Pickups last week and he didn't disappoint, dropping 20 points against the Ravens on Sunday. Expect the kid to do great again against Philly this week, considering the team has given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season.
-
Delanie Walker TE - Tennessee (33% owned)
Walker has been my boy since he put up 31 points over weeks 10-12. Since then he's been trying to come back from a concussion, but that absence should end this weekend against the Cardinals. Ryan Fitzpatrick likes to toss the ball his way and it's obvious they have a good rapport -- I feel the same way on Walker as I do on Jacob Tamme. Expect Walker to pick up where he left off.
-
Dennis Pitta TE - Baltimore (13% owned)
Pitta finally started again for the Ravens last week after a lengthy absence and put up fantasy points right away -- and Joe Flacco loves him, even acknowledging that Pitta back "means a lot," and that "he's a huge player for us." In fact, Flacco completes 75 percent of his red-zone passes to Pitta. If you don't have a top 10 tight end heading into your playoff this week Pitta is a must-own.
-
Jacob Tamme TE - Denver (6% owned)
Normally a second tight end on any team isn't worth owning, but Tamme is an exception. Not only does he have Peyton Manning in a pass-happy offense, but once Wes Welker got taken out last weekend the Broncos had Tamme lining up in the slot. In fact, Tamme played 45-of-46 snaps overall last week -- and Welker isn't expected back this weekend. For those looking for a Rob Gronkowski replacement, you could do a lot worse.
-
Toby Gerhart RB - Minnesota (10 % owned)
Gerhart will most likely be playing hurt, but at least he will be playing, which is more than what one can say about Adrian Peterson. Although he pulled his hammy on a 41-TD run last week against the Ravens, it will most likely still be Gerhart filling in for AP this week. If you're desperate for a solid Flex play this week, Gerhart may not be a bad option.
