Week 10 Pickups
-
Aaron Dobson WR - New England (36% owned)
By far not the sneakiest pickup this week, as Dobson was a favorite sleeper candidate heading into the season. However, if you were like me you jumped on fellow rookie Kenbrell Thompkins' hot start, only to watch him stutter into a slow oblivion. Dobson has essentially traded places with Thompkins nothing short of Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd in the '80's classic of the same sentiment. Dobson scored 25 fantasy points against the Steelers Sunday, not only making it a career day for the rookie, but one of the best performances of the season. He also played almost every single down of the game for Pats, making him one of Tom Brady's favorite targets the rest of the way.
-
Mike Brown WR - Jacksonville (7% owned)
Here is my sneaky pick....for Monday at least. With Justin Blackmon's suspension, it will be Mike Brown who will get the first crack at being Jacksonville's No. 2 WR behind Cecil Shorts. The Jaguars are going to be down a lot this season and will be forced to throw the ball many, many times. Brown already has 22 points in his last two games -- I think he's just warming up.
-
Nick Foles QB - Philadelphia (25% owned)
Everyone! Hop on board, there's still room!....to join the Nick Foles bandwagon!...Too bad Chip Kelly isn't quite on board yet. Kelly refused to tell the media Monday that he's sticking with Foles in favor of Michael Vick, but with Foles' record setting 7 TD game on Sunday, every manager in a league with the quarterback available needs to jump on him immediately, just in case he gets starts the rest of the way. Foles has seemingly mastered the fast-paced, high-powered offense that will continue to score a lot of points under Kelly. He is a must-own in every single league regardless what the Eagles head coach has to say to reporters.
-
Rashad Jennings RB - Oakland (8% owned)
The kid had 15 carries for 102 yards with a touchdown and seven more catches for 74 yards Sunday while filling in for the injured Darren McFadden. The head coach was impressed. Philly was impressed. The metal-head biker man painted in silver -- he was impressed. McFadden isn't expected back anytime soon with his nagging hamstring. Start Jennings at a flex every week McFadden is out.
-
Riley Cooper WR - Philadelphia (10% owned)
Cooper exploded for 32 fantasy points Sunday against the Raiders; while he's not quite a WR3 yet, every manager in a deep league should pick up the veteran as a playoff lottery ticket or bye-week sub. Don't expect Cooper to put up gaudy numbers every week, but as long as Foles is slinging the pig-skin, Cooper might just be a decent WR3 play against mid-to-low tier pass defenses.
