Week 6 Pickups
-
Austin Pettis WR - St. Louis (10% owned)
Pettis received a lot of attention -- and a lot of passes -- Sunday against the Jags, reeling in four catches for 49 yards and two TDs. Although Chris Givens and Tavon Austin got all of the pre-season headlines, it's Pettis that's developed into Sam Bradford's favorite target according to those surrounding the team. Pettis is a decent WR3 play going forward.
-
Marcel Reece RB - Oakland (7% owned)
Reece is no longer a third down full-back beast but is a straight up any-down back now that Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings are both out. Reece had seven carries for 32 yards Sunday against San Diego; not overwhelming numbers at all, but with all of the injuries, Reece is still worth a lottery ticket if you're in need of a RB substitute for a bye.
-
Rueben Randle WR - New York Giants (38% owned)
It's time for Randle to be owned in every single league. The wideout had 96 yards and two more TDs Sunday against the Eagles. He's been open consistently due to his crazy speed and he's earned Eli Manning's trust. It seems almost every year Manning finds a new guy he likes. This year it's Randle. The Giants are also awful, meaning they'll be playing from behind in most games and will be forced to pass the ball... a lot. Pickup Randle as a good WR3 from here on out.
-
Terrance Williams WR - Dallas (16% owned)
Miles Austin out. T-Dubs in!... well, not quite, but Williams now deserves everyone's attention. He hauled in 151 yards and a TD against the Broncos Sunday. Of course, Romo isn't going to throw for 500 yards every game, but the rookie now has 222 yards over the last two weeks. If you need a WR sub for a bye week, consider Williams, especially against the Redskins this week, who have an awful pass defense.
-
Zac Stacy RB - St. Louis (18% owned)
Forget Daryl Richardson or Isaiah Pead, according to "inside" sources such as ESPN Rams blogger Nick Wagoner, it will be Zac Stacy who will get a majority of the carries for St. Louis moving forward. He rushed for 78 yards against the Jaguars Sunday, which was the best rushing performace the Rams have seen all year. Don't rush to start Stacy, but use him as a decent flex play on the right weeks.
