Week 4 Fantasy Pickups
-
Alex Smith QB - Kansas City (42% owned)
There is no reason Smith should be unowned in over half of fantasy leagues. There simply aren't many QBs who would be better subs. He had another great game against the Eagles this weekend, completing 22-of-35 passes for 273 yards while rushing for another 33. He's not going to take your team to new heights, but the Chiefs are for real and you can count on double digit points out of the QB position if you use him during your Drew Brees bye.
-
Bilal Powell RB - New York Jets (46% owned)
Well it looks like Powell is the go-to running back for the Jets with his 149 yards against Buffalo Sunday while filling in for Chris Ivory. Powell isn't super sexy -- although I haven't seen him with out pads -- but the Jets aren't going to throw it too much and they simply don't have any better options in the backfield. I wouldn't be surprised to see Powell catch a lot of passes and be used on the goal line as well. He will be a nice fill in for any upcoming bye weeks.
-
Danny Woodhead RB - San Diego (36% owned)
Woodhead is a sneak little play for anyone heading into the bye weeks. He rushed five times for 31 yards against the Titans, but he also caught 55 yards in the same game. He's getting a lot of looks, so he's especially more valuable in PPR leagues.
-
Kendall Wright WR - Tennessee (20% owned)
It seems Wright is catapulting up through the depth chart; he received more snaps than Kenny Britt against the Chargers Sunday. He has 13 catches for 125 yards and a TD over the last two weeks. He's a possible WR3 against lame-duck defenses for the time being and will be a solid sub for a bye week, especially if the play of quarterback Jake Locker continues to improve.
-
Zach Miller TE - Seattle (11% owned)
Miller -- boring name, good results. Zachary Daiquiri caught two passes for five yards Sunday against the Jags -- but they were both touchdowns. The Seahawks have a high powered offense and Miller will continue to be a solid safety valve for Russell Wilson. Pickup Miller as a TE2 and use when your starter is off.
