Roman Griffin Davis has reportedly joined the voice cast of Wonderland, which includes Mads Mikkelsen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the upcoming film, Davis will essay Jake. A 12-year-old boy, Jake goes on an adventure with his friend Jenny within their dreams, during which they come across mysterious creatures called Vagapulga.

The Jojo Rabbit star was the optimal choice for the role according to the film’s co-director and producer Daniel Markowicz. He said of the casting, “From the outset, Roman showed a strong understanding of Jake and the emotional logic of the story. That made him a natural fit for the role.”

Davis has appeared in several films since his widely praised turn as the titular protagonist in Jojo Rabbit, for which he won/got nominated for several awards including the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.

He first starred in Silent Night opposite Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode. In the film, he played Artur, the son of Nell and Simon. He later lent his voice to Walter Dickens, the son of Charles Dickens, to the animated film, The King of Kings.

Davis then starred in Francis Lawrence’s dystopian survival thriller The Long Walk. He appeared alongside Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Judy Greer, and Mark Hamill.

Most recently, Davis appeared in Greenland 2: Migration, the sequel to Greenland. He appeared opposite Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin’s John and Allison Garrity, playing their son, Nathan. Notably, Davis’ role was essayed by Roger Dale Floyd in the first film.

Wonderland is expected to premiere sometime in 2026. However, an official release date hasn’t been revealed. Markowicz co-directed the film with Maks Naporowski. Meanwhile, Paulina Nowak, Derakhshani, and Michael Roesch serve as executive producers on the film.
