As Hump Day once again approaches, we can’t help but take a look back at how we whittled away the hours last Wednesday. If memory serves, we spent the breezy Angeleno eve at Bardot in Hollywood, drinking Jameson on the rocks, puffing sweet Swishers in the open-air lounge, drowning in the vibrant dance and funk sounds of up-and-comers on this month’s always interesting Tunecore Live roster, produced in collaboration with DropKloud, Mirrored Media, and Swing House as part of the Swisher Sweets Art Project, dedicated to surfacing emerging artists and musicians.

The night began with a packed performance by fish-out-of-water rapper Nova Rockefeller, whose set combined the artist’s flair for raw rhymes, melodic rock-driven raucous, and laugh-out-loud wackiness. Defying easy categorization, Nova got people jumping, fists occasionally pumping, and left the crowd eager for more.
Surprise DJ Cathleen Cher kept our eardrums sated until…
