‘Double F*** Euphoria’: Labrinth Says He’s Out & ‘Done With This Industry’

Labrinth, one of the composers of Euphoria, had some harsh words for the show and the record label he was affiliated with, Columbia. He expressed his frustration on social media, but did not explain the reason. The British singer-songwriter has been an important part of the HBO series since its inception, having composed the original score of the first two and upcoming third seasons.

What Labrinth said about Euphoria

Labrinth recently shared a post on Instagram where he slammed Euphoria and Columbia Records. He also said he was quitting the music industry.

“I’M DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY. F— COLUMBIA. DOUBLE F— EUPHORIA. IM OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X,” he wrote.

Fans reacted to the post, expressing sadness and their support for the singer. “Please don’t stop making music the world needs you,” a user wrote. “Euphoria won’t feel the same without your music,” another added.

It’s currently unclear why Labrinth claimed he was stepping away from Euphoria and music, as no explanation was given. In addition, neither the show’s creatives nor Columbia Records addressed his post.

The post comes one year after veteran music composer, Hans Zimmer, joined Euphoria Season 3 to score its episodes alongside Labrinth. The latter expressed excitement at getting to work with the Oscar winner, calling him one of his “heroes in film score,” in a statement.

The third season premieres on April 12, 2026. Unlike the first two, which focused on high school, the new installment finds the main cast tackling adulthood and its challenges. The official logline reads, “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.”

Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, and Chloe Cherry will reprise their roles from earlier seasons, joined by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace.

Also returning from earlier seasons are Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Nika King, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.

Meanwhile, Season 3 will include a huge slew of guest stars that include Sharon Stone, Trisha Paytas, and Natasha Lyonne, to name a few.
