Meanwhile, here’s how those unprepared for and unhappy about the show’s conclusion expressed their thoughts:

Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Donna Berzatto on The Bear, revealed last month that the show was ending with Season 5 on Instagram. She shared a photo of herself and costar Abby Elliott, who essays her on-screen daughter Natalie Berzatto, on the Instagram.

The photo was accompanied by the caption, “FINISHED STRONG! Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with. Got to finish it out with my baby Berzatto bear, @lilcutieforever @thebearfx.”

Sometime later, Deadline reported, citing sources, that the Jeremy Allen White series was wrapping up with Season 5. Around the same time, Curtis was asked by Access Hollywood about her post.

She responded that everyone on the show, including herself, understood that Season 5 was the last one. However, she acknowledged the possibility of getting into trouble if it wasn’t, saying she would have “completely blown it.”

The Bear Season 5 is expected to premiere sometime in 2026. However, an exact release date is yet to be revealed. Christopher Storer co-created the series and also serves as the showrunner alongside Joanna Calo.
