Why Joy Behar Is Absent on The View

Many viewers are wondering where Joy Behar is on The View now that she has missed three episodes in a row. Some are asking if the 83-year-old cohost has been fired or has retired from the popular ABC talk show for some reason or if she is missing due to an illness or injury. Behar was absent from the program on Monday, November 10, though this wasn’t much of a surprise given that she usually takes Mondays off. However, she was also missing on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 11 and 12. Fellow cohost Whoopi Goldberg stated that Behar was merely absent on Tuesday, but then gave more information about where she is near the top of the episode on Wednesday.

Where is Joy Behar on The View?

As of November 12, Joy Behar has been absent on The View for several consecutive days due to injury, according to Goldberg.

On Tuesday, the EGOT-winning actress said to the audience, “Joy is out today, hopefully she’ll be back tomorrow. The cast, including Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines, continued the show and interviewed Senator John Fetterman about why he chose to side with Republicans in voting to end the government shutdown, a move that has been widely criticized by Democrats.

However, Behar did not appear on the show on Wednesday, prompting Goldberg to clarify the situation. “Now, Joy is out because she hurt her foot,” the 69-year-old host explained, “and hopefully she’ll be back here tomorrow.”

The cast did not share what type of injury Behar sustained, though it looks like it’s minor enough that Behar will appear on Thursday, November 13, though Goldberg suggested that she would be back on Wednesday.

Behar stated in October that she wanted more Republicans on The View, which later prompted interviews with Cheryl Hines and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
