Here’s the Time Cover Trump Wishes the Magazine Would Have Used

The Trump administration would rather people use a different Time magazine cover for the president. Donald Trump was displeased by the cover on the latest October 2025 issue of Time Magazine that showed an up-angle of his face, posting on Truth Social that “the picture may be the Worst of All Time.” While the president thought that the magazine’s piece about his Gaza peace agreement was “a relatively good story,” he mocked the front cover as “a super bad picture.” Instead, Trump rep Kari Lake has offered what she believes is a far more flattering Time cover.

Trump team offers an alternate Time magazine cover

In response to the Time magazine cover that Trump says “deserves to be called out,” Kari Lake has posted an alternate cover on X (formerly Twitter) that she wants his followers to share instead.

The former news anchor and current senior advisor to the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) echoed the president’s stance on the “unflattering” cover from “the fake news Time magazine.”

Trump said on social media that the current Time cover made it look like his hair had disappeared and that it “had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.” He questioned why the magazine used an underneath angle, which he “never liked taking.”

As a replacement, this different cover features a more straightforward photo of Trump in a dark suit with an American flag pin on the lapel, a white-collared shirt, and a glossy blue tie in front of a matte blue background. Instead of the words “His Triumph,” “The Leader Israel Needed,” and “How Gaza Heals” on the existing Time cover, this alternate one reads in bolt text “Trump’s Triumph: Bringing Peace to the World.”

Congressman Mike Collins (R-Georgia) reacted to the new photo with a simple phrase: “Much better.”

Trump was named Time’s Person of the Year two times, the most recent in 2024. In a speech at the NYSE, he remarked that he can “only talk well of 25% of the covers…the others he sort of hides.”
