Big Bang Theory’s Stuart Spin-off Logo Revealed With Filming Update

The upcoming Big Bang Theory spin-off, titled, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, has landed a potential release date window and a new logo. The spin-off is helmed by the creator of the original series, Chuck Lorre, who is joined by co-creator Bill Prady and writer Zak Penn. Kevin Sussman will reprise his role as Stuart.

The Big Bang Theory spin-off, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, has started filming, based on the recent update shared by co-creator Bill Prady.

Prady took to his Instagram recently and posted a photo from the set of the show and wrote, “Here we go!” Fans can also spot the logo for the spin-off on a chair in the image. Currently, there is no release date for the project. But, considering the show is beginning filming, fans might get to see it around the end of next year.

In July 2025, HBO Max made a press release and revealed the plot of the show. It states that Stuart Bloom has the task of “restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard.” In the quest to save the universe, Stuart’s girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist Barry Kripke will help him.

Additionally, co-creator Lorre expressed his excitement for the spin-off and stated that he wanted to get out of his “comfort zone.” Stuart Fails to Save the Universe will be the fourth addition to the Big Bang Theory universe. The other hit spin-offs of the show are Young Sheldon and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

In addition, Channing Dungey, the Chairperson of Warner Bros. Television, shared, “Chuck and Bill have given us one of the most enduring comedies of our time with ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ and we can’t wait to see the universe continue with this new series.” Dungey conveyed that the new spin-off “promises to capture the essence of what fans loved about the original series” (via Variety).
