Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumor reveals Punisher’s tank chase details
Recently, scooper My Time To Shine Hello, also known as MTTSH, shared a rumor surrounding Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to him, fans can expect to see a chase sequence featuring the Punisher, Scorpion, and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
MTTSH wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter), “In the beginning of the film, someone is trying to break Scorpion out of prison while he’s being moved, Punisher and his partner track the criminals and are trying to stop them. Spider-Man is trying to stop both the criminals that are trying to break Scorpion and the Punisher from killing the criminals.”
This chase sequence will reportedly feature a tank, which will be operated by Punisher and his partner, who is rumored to be a female.
SuperHeroHype previously reported on a rumor about Punisher having multiple upgrades in the movie. Scooper Daniel Richtman shared, “The Punisher will reportedly still be a ‘murderous psycho’ in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ and will be equipped with tools like a tank and advanced tech to deal with larger threats.”
In addition, the Punisher is also reported to have a clash with Spider-Man as the former goes on a quest to kill Michael Mando’s Scorpion, while Spider-Man tries to save him. However, currently, nothing is known about the plot of the movie as the story is still being kept under wraps by Marvel Studios.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to release on July 31, 2026.
