Anyone who misses Hulk Hogan’s 1980s cartoon series can rest easy now, as the show is making an unexpected comeback on YouTube. Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling animated series to premiere on YouTube
According to a recent report, Hulk Hogan’s vintage cartoon series will begin airing its episodes on the WWE Vault YouTube channel on September 6. While it remains unclear if new additions will be made to the 26-episode roster of the show, the original chapters will come out on the said YouTube channel in batches of four episodes.
As per Variety, episodes will come out in chronological order at a scheduled time of 6 AM, 8 AM, 10 AM, and 12 PM ET every other Saturday.
Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling series originally premiered on CBS in September 1985 and ran for two seasons before calling it quits in October 1986. Reruns of the fan-favorite show continued airing till June 1987, and the series has remained out of commission ever since.
The show revolves around the escapades of animated versions of Hulk Hogan and other WWE wrestlers as they square off against their rogue counterparts, led by ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. The featured character list had some of the biggest names in wrestling history aside from Hogan and Piper, including Andre the Giant, Junkyard Dog, Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka, The Iron Sheik, Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, as well as veteran WWE announcer ‘Mean Gene’ Okerlund.
Notably, none of the aforementioned wrestlers lent their voices to the show due to scheduling conflicts, with various voice actors filling in for them.
The news of the return of the Rock ‘n’ Wrestling series comes just over a month after the death of Hulk Hogan. He tragically passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71 after reportedly sustaining a cardiac arrest.
