Jessica Camacho has no idea if Oliveras dies or lives in Countdown
Jessica Camacho, who plays the role of Amber Oliveras, recently admitted that she does not know whether her character survives. Speaking to Collider, the actress said, “I really have no idea what happens, and I personally cannot wait to find out.”
Camacho opened up about her character’s mindset in that scene. She said, “As you see her running away, she’s trying to strategize her way through this, but really, it’s just a game of survival, and she’s being hunted.”
Recalling the filming of the scene, Camacho noted how “real” the experience felt on set. She said, “It was scary in that moment.” The actress explained that while she knew the script and every action beforehand, things changed once the cameras rolled. She added, “I remember looking at Grant when he was in character, and he yelled, ‘Run!’ He was so locked in that I saw this rageful, dark look in his eye that was really menacing.”
Camacho explained that the look in his eyes was so convincing that her own physical response as Oliveras came naturally. She said, “I felt it in my body, and my body ran.” The actress added how the intensity made the scene more gripping. She emphasized, “You’re not just pretending. You’re feeling it in your chest and your body and your heart. I love those moments in what we do.”
The thriller series follows Task Force Armor, a secret government unit led by Eric Dane’s Nathan Blythe, as they chase Grant Harvey’s Todd, a terrorist. In the final episode, Todd abducts Oliveras and takes her to an isolated spot. He orders her to run, and as she flees, he takes aim with his sniper rifle. However, the episode ends before revealing whether Todd pulls the trigger.
