Why Starfighter could be the best-looking Star Wars movie

Star Wars: Starfighter, featuring Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, and more, might be the best-looking Star Wars movie, as a new rumor suggests that cinematographer Claudio Miranda is coming on board the project.

In a recent conversation with John Rocha, scooper Jeff Sneider broke the news. He stated, “I’m going to say it on the air. No one has mentioned, no one in the world has mentioned who is shooting this movie. No one knows who the cinematographer is, but I’m about to tell you.” He asked Rocha to be ready and revealed that the director of photography for Star Wars: Starfighter will be “Oscar-winning cinematographer Claudio Miranda.”

However, this has not been confirmed by Lucasfilm or director Shawn Levy yet.

The movie is being produced by Levy and Kathleen Kennedy, with Gosling also serving as the executive producer. Jonathan Tropper has written the script for Star Wars: Starfighter. Recently, a photo of Gosling with Flynn Gray was released as the movie started production.

Speaking about beginning work on the project, Levy stated, “I feel a profound sense of excitement and honor as we begin production on Star Wars: Starfighter. From the day Kathy Kennedy called me up, inviting me to develop an original adventure in this incredible Star Wars galaxy, this experience has been a dream come true, creatively and personally. Star Wars shaped my sense of what story can do, how characters and cinematic moments can live with us forever. To join this storytelling galaxy with such brilliant collaborators onscreen and off, is the thrill of a lifetime.” (via StarWars.com)
