Emily in Paris fans have much to rejoice over as Netflix has now announced the official release date for Season 5 of the show. Featuring Lily Collins as the titular Emily Cooper, who relocates to Paris from Chicago for a temporary social media strategy job, the series will return to the small screen later this year, right before the theatrical premiere of James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Emily in Paris Season 5 to hit Netflix in December
Netflix has announced that Emily in Paris Season 5 will air on December 18, 2025. The date falls just one day before the much-awaited Avatar 3 premieres on the big screen.
Netflix also shared several first-look images from the latest edition of the show. While the published images do not reveal much about the plot of the fifth season, they do confirm that Emily will spend a considerable amount of time in Venice in the upcoming episodes.
Following the events of Season 4, where Cooper manages to become the head of Agence Grateau in Rome, Emily in Paris Season 5 will see Collins’ character attempting to adjust to life in a new city.
However, a slight miscalculation will result in Emily incurring heavy losses on both romantic as well as professional fronts. As such, she will tap into the learnings she gathered from her time in France, with the aim of overcoming all the roadblocks in her path.
In addition to Collins, Emily in Paris Season 5 will also feature the likes of Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, and Lucien Laviscount, among many others.
Netflix renewed the show for a fifth installment in September 2024. While critical reception has been more mixed, the show has garnered popullarity among viewers and has become a cultural phenomenon in recent years.
