A new rumor about Peacemaker Season 2 seemingly details how the cameo by the Justice League from the DC Extended Universe in the first season will be omitted in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe (DCU).
In the final episode of Peacemaker Season 1, the Justice League arrives right after the climactic battle, prompting John Cena’s Chris Smith / Peacemaker to use multiple expletives to tell them that they are late.

Scooper @MyTimeToShineH took to X (formerly Twitter) to claim that the Justice League cameo from the Season 1 finale will be replaced with one from the Justice Gang, who made their debut in 2025’s Superman.
“The first episode of Peacemaker Season 2 opens with ‘Previously in the DCU,'” @MyTimeToShineH speculated. “It’s mostly all season 1 footage, but there are a couple of changes. Danielle Brooks’ character now talks about calling in the Justice Gang, and they reshot the Justice League cameo from the finale.”
In the original version of the scene, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash arrive too late after the climactic battle. The former two remain in the shadows throughout the scene and are portrayed by body doubles.
However, Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller reprise their roles as Arthur Curry / Aquaman and Barry Allen / the Flash, respectively. Seeing the Justice League, an agitated Peacemaker tells them, “You’re late, you f—— d——-.” He then directs his anger toward Aquaman in particular. “Go f— another fish, a——,” Peacemaker shouts.
This prompts Aquaman to state that he is “sick” of that rumor. The Flash quips in response, “It’s not a rumor,” leading Arthur to direct an expletive at him.
In the above-mentioned post, @MyTimeToShineH claims that Mister Terrific, Superman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Supergirl appear in the new version of the scene in Season 2, with everyone except Green Lantern and Hawkgirl remaining in the shadows. “There’s a gag earlier in the recap where Peacemaker says he threw up in front of Green Lantern and he liked it, so in place of the Aquaman/Flash interaction, we have guy saying to Hawkgirl, ‘S— that guy, you know he tells people I’m a puke freak,” the scooper adds.
