With Sadie Sink no longer linked with the part of Jean Grey, ongoing rumors have suggested that she could be playing the role of Mayday Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Sink officially joined the cast of Spider-Man 4 earlier this year in an undisclosed role, leading to multiple fan speculations on the internet. While the actress has remained coy about her part, a new theory suggests that she could don the mantle of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man’s daughter in Tom Holland’s upcoming outing as the iconic web-slinger.
Sadie Sink rumored to play Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man’s daughter
In a recent discussion, John Rocha brought forward a rumor regarding Sadie Sink’s mystery MCU character, noting that she could portray a version of Mayday Parker, possibly the daughter of Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, in 2026’s Brand New Day.
While speaking with Jeff Sneider, The Hot Mic podcast host stated, “I just got a text from a source…and they said they’ve heard that Sadie Sink is playing Mayday. Mayday Parker. So connecting to the Tobey [Maguire] universe, she’s his daughter.” He explained that the Stranger Things actress could appear as the daughter of Maguire’s Spider-Man, from his universe, making Brand New Day a multiversal film.
Sneider agreed that the theory was plausible, remarking, “That makes sense in like, she’s playing someone from a different universe.” However, he had an update of his own regarding Sink’s role in Spider-Man 4.
Check out the conversation below:
Earlier in the podcast episode, Jeff Sneider noted, “So Spider-Man 4, obviously, we’ve heard Sadie is not playing Jean Grey. I don’t know if she’s going to be MJ or not. I think she’s going to be like the new friend who sort of fills the void of Zendaya and Ned or whatever.” Despite claiming that “she’s going to be Peter’s new friend,” he failed to precisely note who Sadie Sink would portray in Spider-Man 4.
However, given that there’s no official word yet about Sink’s character in Spider-Man 4, all these speculations should currently be taken with a grain of salt. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently on track to hit the big screens on July 31, 2026.
