Aaron Paul to Lead the Cast of James McTeigue’s Psychological Thriller

Actor Aaron Paul, who portrayed the role of Jesse Pinkman in the popular television series Breaking Bad alongside Bryan Cranston, has made an entry into the cast of the upcoming movie, The Midnight Pool. The thriller is directed by James McTeigue, who has previously worked on movies like V for Vendetta. For now, not many details about the film have been revealed to the audience.

The Better Call Saul actor has been brought in to star in the upcoming movie, The Midnight Pool.

According to a report by Variety, the movie is helmed by James McTeigue. He is known for being involved in projects like V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin, and more.

As per the official logline of the movie, Aaron Paul will play the role of Johnny Black, “a jaded journalist, whom after a personal tragedy, is lured into the shadows of an elite, exclusive society, where the pursuit of a career-defining story becomes a descent into illusion, manipulation and altered realities.” Meanwhile, the script of the movie is written by Jonathan Easley.

The Westworld star also spoke regarding teaming up with McTeigue. Paul shared, “The moment Midnight Pool landed on my desk, I knew I had to sit down with James. The world created by Jonathan Easley really stayed with me long after I put the script down. The idea of James holding the reins to tell this story got me extremely excited to tackle this world with him.”

Furthermore, the movie is set to be filmed in Europe from this year onwards. James McTeigue stated, “The Midnight Pool felt like the culmination of my career — a gripping psychological drama with mind-bending visuals and action. When Aaron Paul agreed to play Johnny Black, I knew we had something truly special.”
