Recently single after her fling with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson reportedly hooked up with the The Neptunes’ Chad Hugo (this dude) at the L.A. club, Le Deux, Saturday night. Page Six reports:
She tried to pick up Ryan Phillipe, but he wasn’t interested. So then she hung out with Chad all night and left with him.” Simpson’s rep fumed, “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”
Wait, Ryan Phillipe?? The Simpson sisters usually date ugly poseur musicians, so you have to give credit to Ashlee for trying. No Simpson has overreached like this since Ron Goldman got stabbed. Ryan Phillipe could walk into a sorority house and be, at worst, the third prettiest thing in the room. I like vagina, but I’d probably date him. And let’s be honest here, I’ve had worse.

Week 5 Sleepers

Austin Collie WR – New England
In a clear move of desperation, the Patriots signed the veteran wide receiver this week after he was released from San Francisco. While it’s not quite clear what you’ll get out of Collie, Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins, since all are questionable for Sunday, the newest wide receiver could get quite a few balls thrown his way. We must warn you: Houston’s defense has excelled against the wide receiver position, so tread carefully. But remember, with high risk can also come high reward.
-
Charles Clay TE – Miami
Clay was the best player for Miami last week, catching six passes for 42 yards and a touchdown. This week he goes up against a Baltimore Ravens defense that is 12th in fantasy points to tight ends. Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill likes to work in the tight ends, so expect some quiet points.
-
LeGarrette Blount RB – New England
Yes, another Patriots player – because they’re spreading the ball around. Last week, against a solid Atlanta Falcons defense, Blount had 64 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. This week the Cincinnati Bengals defense will be just as difficult and although he runs in a trio with Stevan Ridley and Brandon Bolden, Blount is the power back who comes in handy at the goal line. He’s good for a quick seven or eight points this week, if you’re in a proverbial pickle.
-
Nate Washington WR – Tennessee
Last week Washington had four catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns against a bad New York Jets team. This week – against Kansas City – the defense is much improved, allowing the 13th fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season, so it won’t be easy for Washington. He’s on pace for 1,328 yards and eight touchdowns this season – that’s all you really need to know.
-
Zac Stacy RB – St. Louis
Media sources close to the Rams are claiming that the rookie running back will lead the charge this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. The Jaguars have allowed the 9th most fantasy points to running backs this season, so if he gets touches, he should be able to convert it for your squad. Worst case scenario, you pick him up and stash him away on the bench for a few weeks.
