Last month Jax Jones released the retro-nouveau House tune “You Don’t Know Me,” with guest vocalist Faye lending B-girl inflected attitude to classic House diva belting. The loping, bottom-heavy groove cradles Faye’s attitudinal singing and the result is a track as hypnotic as it is energetic. The video has the duo performing in a club setting, with the camera cutting back and forth between their live performance and a multi-racial crowd bopping along. It’s a nice dose of escapism right about now.
