Walkie Talkie Used by Nancy Guthrie Suspect Hints at Accomplice — Ex-FBI Agent

New theories are emerging in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, as experts and observers continue to analyze the limited evidence available. While authorities have remained tight-lipped about key details, recent commentary from a former FBI agent is drawing attention online.

The discussion raises questions about how the alleged crime may have been carried out and whether more than one person may have been involved. At this stage, much of the information remains speculative and has not been officially confirmed by investigators.

Nancy Guthrie kidnapping suspect likely used walkie talkie and had help, claims ex-FBI agent

During a recent episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast, former FBI agent Maureen O’Connell shared her perspective on how the suspect may have operated. While some theories have suggested using advanced tools like Wi-Fi jammers, O’Connell appeared skeptical of that idea. “So much of this could be chalked up to user error,” she said. She added that a jammer “seems a little bit too sophisticated.”

Her comments come amid reports that security cameras around Guthrie’s home behaved unusually. Motion-activated devices reportedly captured footage in the days before and after the incident, but not during the exact window when Guthrie was taken. This gap has led some to question whether the system was intentionally disrupted.

O’Connell instead suggested a simpler explanation. She claimed it was “far more likely” that a walkie-talkie may have been used for communication. According to her, this could indicate the presence of another person. “I believe he has an accomplice. I think there were two people involved,” she alleged during the discussion.

This theory appears to align with earlier observations from individuals close to the investigation. In a separate interview, Nancy’s neighbor questioned whether the individual seen in the surveillance footage was the primary actor. She suggested the person could have been waiting outside while someone else entered the property through another access point.

Authorities, meanwhile, have indicated they are pursuing multiple leads. Officials have previously described the case as potentially “targeted” and say evidence collected at the scene, including DNA, could prove critical.
