As reported by The Korea Times, the upcoming world tour by the boy group, with more than 80 shows across 34 regions worldwide, will generate giant economic activity, according to the projections by analysts. The K-Pop boy group could reportedly surpass the financial impact of Taylor Swift’s recent global tour.
In the meantime, per the news outlet, the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute has estimated that BTS’s upcoming “ARIRANG” World Tour is all set to generate 1.2 trillion won per show, which is $840 million. Meanwhile, a report by The Guardian also claimed that the economists have been anticipating that the North American leg of their world tour alone will yield tens of trillions of won. According to the news outlet, this financial impact will significantly surpass that of Taylor Swift’s North American tour, which garnered approximately 7 trillion won.
Meanwhile, apart from the world tour and the album release, BTS’s live performance, “BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE,” will stream on Saturday, March 21, at 8:00 p.m. KST, exclusively on Netflix worldwide. Additionally, “BTS: The Return,” a related documentary, will be released on the streaming platform on Friday, March 27.
