Olivia Nuzzi’s Memoir To Reveal ‘Digital Affair’ With RFK Jr. — Sources

Olivia Nuzzi’s forthcoming memoir is already causing a stir, with sources claiming that it will include sexually charged text messages between the journalist and RFK Jr. The book, “American Canto,” could bring trouble for his marriage to actor Cheryl Hines. Moreover, the publisher, Simon & Schuster, is reportedly keeping the project under tight wraps. Additionally, there is talk of unusual security, and a quiet rollout plan pointing to a December 2 release.

Nuzzi promises racy RFK Jr. messages in upcoming memoir

Beyond the messages with RFK Jr., sources reportedly told Page Six that Nuzzi’s memoir spans her decade on the Trump beat, as well as a stormy period in her personal life. A source told the tabloid, “It’s hard to imagine RFK [Jr.] surviving this with his marriage and job intact.” Meanwhile, another source claimed that the manuscript digs deeply into Nuzzi’s relationship with her former fiancé, Ryan Lizza, addressing the fallout that followed the sexting scandal.

Publishing plans appear to be protecting the book. Sources said there are no galleys, and that the manuscript sits on a separate secure server. Apparently, even the early Amazon placeholder lists no author or cover. Additionally, they made sure the timing did not clash with Hines’ book, “Unscripted,” which is due on November 11. According to Page Six, crisis PR veteran Risa Heller is managing the rollout.

Nuzzi’s connection to Kennedy first made headlines after she profiled him in late 2023 while he was running as an independent. They reportedly got close over time, but RFK Jr.’s team has denied an affair. In fact, the team said that the two met in person only once for her story. After all, Nuzzi herself stated last year that “the relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict.”

If the sources are right, Olivia Nuzzi’s memoir will put racy messages with RFK Jr. on the record and revisit a scandal that touched politics, media, and a high-profile marriage.
