The duke kept his response brief and said, “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”
Earlier in the day, Harry was photographed while arriving at the king’s London residence. He met Charles at Clarence House for a private tea. They reportedly had a 55-minute meeting. This marked the first time the father and son had met since February 2024. It is also a massive step in the efforts to repair their strained relationship.
Harry had been estranged from the British royal family after he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their public role in 2020 and pursued a life in the United States. The relations further soured after the couple made a series of allegations against the royals, including in the duke’s book, “Spare.” However, Harry reportedly began making efforts to reconcile with his ailing father this year.
