Prince Harry’s UK Trip Might Not Include a Meeting With King Charles, Royal Expert Claims

Prince Harry and King Charles’ alleged reunion has been the hot topic of discussion for a while now. Recently, the speculations have escalated, because the Duke of Sussex will be in his home country for a few days. Initially, rumors claimed that the father and son might meet during Harry’s UK visit. But, a royal expert is now stating that the reunion seems to be unlikely. The reason is that the monarch will reportedly be spending this month in Balmoral, Scotland.

King Charles might not fly down from Scotland to UK to meet Prince Harry, royal expert claims

Since their personal aides met in London, talks about Prince Harry and King Charles’ reconciliation have excited their followers. Hence, when reports of the duke visiting the UK came out, speculations of a reunion sparked. Reportedly, the 40-year-old will attend the 2025 Wellchild Awards this week, but might return to California without meeting with royal family members.

According to The Sun, Harry and his father’s reunion would be impossible, because the king is “500 miles away in Scotland.” “It is unlikely you would expect the King would fly down again to have a cup of tea with Harry,” royal expert Charles Rae said.

He also claimed that Prince William and Meghan Markle’s presence would be necessary should the duke negotiate any peace deals. As per Rae, a reconciliation should not happen “without the whole family being involved.”

However, sources also told the outlet that Harry is open to accepting an invitation to the royal palace, if offered. Moreover, he might have more chances to meet the royals, if he were to extend his stay. One reason to extend the stay might be if he would decide to attend the funeral of Katherine, Duchess of Kent. The 92-year-old passed away last week. Reportedly, she the duke’s late mother, Princess Diana, were close.

Meanwhile, the father of two’s main purpose for his UK visit is the charity’s annual event. As its patron, he has attended the ceremony every year. Interestingly, it falls on the day of Queen Elizabeth II’s death anniversary.
