In the next episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce will be seen talking about his engagement with Taylor Swift. The teaser is enough to leave fans, especially Swifites, excited. In the clip, Jason says, “Travis, we had to talk about it”. Further addressing the audience, he states, “In case you missed the Instagram post all around the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged! Yay!” The brothers clap in joy together, celebrating the news.
Furthermore, the 35-year-old discusses fans’ reactions to his and Swift’s first step toward marriage. He states, “I appreciate everybody who reached out and sent something, and all the posts, all the excitement that’s been going on. It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.” Soon, fans flooded the comment section with excitement about the full episode on the engagement discussion.
One user wrote, “Yes lord. However, the engagement had happened almost two weeks prior to the announcement. Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, had revealed this in his interview.
Ed told News 5 Cleveland, “Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago. He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, too, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event. And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”
