Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was reportedly always worried about his nightclub visits during their on-again-off-again relationship. The former couple dated for nearly seven years and shared a turbulent romance before finally calling it quits in 2010. But recently resurfaced details from Katie Nicholl’s 2011 book, “The Making of a Royal Romance,” revealed that Davy allegedly had concerns about Harry’s “roving eye.”
Chelsy Davy would often worry about Prince Harry’s nightclub visits, according to a book
The Daily Mail shared details from a 2011 book that delved into Prince Harry and his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy’s seven-year relationship. Author and Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl alleged that Davy often worried about the Duke of Sussex’s nightclub visits and had concerns about his “roving eye.” Moreover, tabloid rumors about her then-boyfriend’s antics in his favorite clubs frequently left her in tears at the time.
Nicholl further wrote in her book that Davy broke things off with the Prince in 2009 while he was training in the Air Force. She reportedly grew “lonely and desperately homesick” and told him that their “relationship had run its course.” The Zimbabwean businesswoman even changed her status on Facebook to “Relationship: Not in one,” which allegedly “infuriated” Harry. The author claimed that their romance ended “in the click of a button” and made news.
But there had been instances before when Harry‘s ex-girlfriend broke things off with him. A few years before they finally ended it, Davy had called things off with him. The report mentioned that this happened a week after photos of Harry showed him “falling out of a London club with ‘favourite drinking buddy’ Natalie Pinkham.” Back then, Davy allegedly felt he “wasn’t making enough” effort and wanted “to be her own person” besides being his girlfriend.
Nevertheless, the duke and his former girlfriend attended Prince William’s wedding together in 2011 and remained amicable. Later, he even invited her to his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.
