Meghan Markle Doesn’t Miss the Royals & She Made It Clear on Her Show, Says Source

Meghan Markle is missing one thing about the United Kingdom, and it’s not the royal family but the FM station. After this seemingly subtle criticism of the royals on her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan,” a source exclusively told Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop that it has received the palace insiders’ attention, and they’re not happy with the dig. According to the royal sources, Markle has made it clear through her show that “she doesn’t miss” the royal family members.

Meghan Markle says the one thing she misses about the UK is its FM station

Since Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, stepped down from royal duties in 2020, she has gone on to expand her professional career with her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and her Netflix show “With Love, Meghan.” The Duchess of Sussex confessed in a recent episode from season 2 of the series that she misses one specific part of her life in the U.K.

While most would assume that it would be the royal family, it wasn’t the case for Markle. The “Suits” alum told guest Tan France that the one thing she misses about the U.K. is the Magic FM station. The designer jokingly mocked the host’s musical taste in response, calling it a “grandma station.” The duo proceeded to share an interesting conversation about the radio stations, but her seemingly subtle shade at the royals didn’t go unnoticed.

Reflecting on Markle’s statements on the Netflix show, a source told Rob Shuter that if she had wanted to, the duchess could have said she missed the royal family traditions or even the late Queen Elizabeth II. They continued, “Instead she went out of her way to name a radio station. The message is clear: she doesn’t miss a single royal.”

Meanwhile, a few royal aides reportedly expressed their disappointment over Markle’s words. They claimed that, whether or not it was intentional, it was still a shade directed at the royal family. The insider added, “She’s telling the world she misses background music more than her family.” A friend of the duchess from L.A. claimed that although it’s not the same since the royal couple settled in Montecito, California, the radio station “gives her comfort without connecting her back to Britain.”

The first two seasons of Markle’s reality series, “With Love, Meghan,” are currently streaming on Netflix.
