A former royal aide advised Prince Harry to change his perception and stop playing the “victim.” Late Queen Elizabeth II’s press secretary, Ailsa Anderson, recently opened up about her thoughts on the Duke of Sussex. Anderson, who worked for the former monarch for 12 years from 2001 to 2013, urged him not to indulge in a pity party. Channel 5’s documentary “Prince Harry: My Terrible Year,” which aired on August 9, featured her remarks.
Prince Harry should stop playing the victim and start being the hero, says royal aide
Late Queen Elizabeth II’s former aide thinks Prince Harry should stop complaining about “how awful his life is.” The Daily Mail quoted Ailsa Anderson’s remarks from the recently released documentary, “Prince Harry: My Terrible Year.” She recalled the duke as being a “warm, engaging and kind person,” who should now change his mentality.
“Stop being the victim and start being the hero of the piece, start writing your own script,” the former queen’s press secretary said. She directed her thoughts to Harry and mentioned that people have become tired of “how Prince Harry thinks the world is against him.” Calling him “too impulsive,” the royal aide expressed her disappointment in the 40-year-old prince.
Anderson seemed to be unhappy with Harry’s past interviews and documentaries, in which he talked about his royal family. Reportedly, he made private matters public, hinting at reports of King Charles’ health. Referring to the ongoing royal reunion rumors, Anderson seems worried that the duke might not be trustworthy. His return to the palace will worry the king and Prince William about “private information” being “leaked.”
Since the documentary released on Saturday, several experts shared their opinions. Psychotherapist Emma Reed Turrell advised the prince to “stick a pin in your ego” and forgive without worrying about “being right.” The news of reconciliation came after the aides of Prince Harry and King Charles met in London last month. Reportedly, the 76-year-old father desires to bring back his second son and his wife, Meghan Markle, home.
