Meghan Markle’s Legal Problems May Impact Prince Harry’s Reconciliation Efforts With His Family, Say Experts

Meghan Markle‘s legal troubles with her half-sister, Samantha Markle, could potentially disrupt Prince Harry‘s life. Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner exclusively told Fox News that the legal battle might affect the Duke of Sussex’s efforts to end the years-long feud with the royal family and reconcile with his family members. Another expert believed that Meghan’s existing legal issues would only leave the senior royals worried about their reputation.

Meghan Markle is currently in a legal battle with half-sister Samantha Markle. In 2022, the latter sued the Duchess of Sussex, claiming that the former actor allegedly defamed her in multiple interviews, including the Sussexes’ controversial sit-down with Oprah Winfrey. The judge dismissed the case two years later with prejudice. However, the elder sibling recently appealed the dismissal.

According to Fox News’ exclusive report, royal expert Ian Pelham Turner shared that the new development in the duchess’ legal battle will only hinder Prince Harry’s efforts to reunite with his family. Turner claimed that the legal issues “could break the fragile links between Harry and Meghan trying to establish a way forward.” The source added that the royals are sensitive towards any legal issues in America that could cause harm to their reputation.

The expert further claimed that Samantha’s recent move could be “misconstrued as a timely action” on her part. This is allegedly because it comes at a time when Meghan is dealing with the cancellation of their Netflix deal and the hopeful attempt to end the family feud once and for all.

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich told the outlet that Meghan doesn’t have an advantage in her legal battle with her half-sister. Whether the claims were true or not, the expert believed that the issue wouldn’t “reflect well” on the duchess and the royals. Rumors of peace talks between Prince Harry and the royal family ensued after their respective royal aides held a secret meeting in London last month.

Meanwhile, after Samantha appealed the dismissal, an oral argument is reportedly scheduled for September 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. Fox News reported that the “Suits” alum’s appearance isn’t likely at the hearing.
