Keke Palmer is drawing attention after revealing details about her intimate scenes with Pete Davidson in The Pickup. The actress spoke candidly about filming nude scenes early in production and addressed their on-screen chemistry, which has since become a topic of discussion.

Keke Palmer spoke to Entertainment Weekly about filming intimate scenes with Pete Davidson for their new Prime Video action-comedy The Pickup.
“He’s so sweet, so it was comfortable even though we were being all naked and stuff like that,” Palmer said. She added that the scenes were filmed early in production. “It was in the first week of a shooting — I think it might’ve been the second day or so.”
Palmer said she felt the chemistry between them came naturally. “I honestly think he and I have chemistry,” she told the outlet. “Look, I don’t know anybody that Pete don’t have chemistry with. I mean, he’s pretty well-liked in the female world.” The film follows Palmer as a savvy bank robber who crosses paths with armored truck drivers played by Davidson and Eddie Murphy.
She emphasized the significance of working with Murphy, who stars alongside them in the Tim Story-directed film. “We started out acting and performing as kids,” Palmer said. “[Davidson] started doing standup at 12. I started acting at nine. So I think being at this point in our lives, we’re in our thirties, and we’re working with Eddie Murphy. For us, it feels like these are the moments that we dreamed of.”
Palmer recalled first meeting Murphy while spending time with his daughters. “He was coming downstairs in his pajamas, and he was just playing a guitar, which is the sickest thing that he could play,” she told People.
The Pickup premiered on Prime Video on August 6, 2025. The cast also includes Eva Longoria, Marshawn Lynch, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i, Andrew Dice Clay, and Ismael Cruz Córdova.
