Gwyneth Paltrow Appears as Astronomer’s Spokesperson After Viral Coldplay Kiss Cam Moment

In a twist that no one saw coming, Chris Martin‘s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow became Astronomer’s “temporary spokesperson.” This comes a week after the company’s former CEO, Andy Byron, and then-HR executive, Kristin Cabot, were spotted on the viral kiss cam at Coldplay’s concert. The “Goop” founder appeared on the company’s new video, announcing her position and answering a few questions that appeared to indirectly hint at the incident.

Astronomer hires Gwyneth Paltrow to be their ‘temporary spokesperson’

Gwyneth Paltrow surprised netizens by appearing in Astronomer’s new video, days after the company’s name became part of a viral incident. Its former CEO and HR executive were allegedly caught in an embrace at her ex-husband Chris Martin’s Coldplay concert. The clip on the company’s social media pages saw them claiming that the actor was their “temporary spokesperson.”

At the start of the video, Paltrow said, “I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer.” She also shared how Astronomer had been receiving numerous questions over the past few days. The “Iron Man” actor skipped mentioning the viral kiss cam incident entirely. The entrepreneur then assured to provide answers to “the most common ones.”

The first question that popped up in Astronomer’s video was “Q: OMG! What the actual f—” and the second said, “Q: How is your social media team holding—”. To these, Paltrow jokingly dodged the answers to them, conveniently digressing from the incident that shook the internet. She redirected them to discuss the company’s features and an upcoming event in September.

Paltrow ended the video by promising customers that Astronomer will be focusing on “delivering game-changing results.” The video, like the viral kiss cam incident, went viral on the internet. While many applauded the company’s genius PR move, a few others questioned the video’s purpose.

Meanwhile, sources previously claimed that former CEO Byron was considering legal action against Coldplay. He was reportedly not happy with the band featuring him and his work colleague on the jumbotron screen. According to sources, he is citing “invasion of privacy” and “emotional distress” as reasons to sue the band.

Since the incident, both Byron and Cabot have resigned from their respective posts.
