Jessica Simpson took the stage of NBC’s “Today” show’s Citi Concert Series on July 23 to perform her new music after a 15-year hiatus. However, a few minutes into her performance at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City, the singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction, which took her by surprise.

The 45-year-old singer was performing a medley of her ’90s and 2000s hits, “I Think I’m in Love with You” and “With You,” when her corset-style dress slipped down, revealing the pink bra she wore underneath. But instead of losing her cool, Simpson expertly handled the accidental peekaboo moment. She immediately adjusted her dress before continuing with the performance.

After performing the new songs from her latest EP “Nashville Canyon, Vol. 1,” she cheekily addressed the faux pas while speaking to “Today” hosts. The singer joked about the situation and said, “Of course I had a malfunction here and everywhere, but it’s OK,” adding, “I think my boobs stayed in, so that’s good.”

Simpson’s last musical project was the studio album “Happy Christmas” in 2010. She has released the first half of her two-part EP, “Nashville Canyon, Part 1,” in March, after 15 years. The second part is slated to release on September 4. Her new album, “Nashville Canyon: Part 1,” features songs about her breakup from ex-husband Eric Johnson. The former couple divorced in January after being married for a decade. They share three kids — Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute, and  Birdie Mae.
