Actor Brad Pitt is keen to amend things with his kids post-divorce from his former wife Angeline Jolie. He is reportedly going all out and doing everything possible to establish a harmonious relationship with his six children. For initiation, as per the source, Pitt is seeking help from his former father-in-law, Jon Voight. He hopes Voight might have the “impact” to help with their “fractured situation.”

After years of trying to mend his relationship with his kids, actor Brad Pitt is now opting for other ways to bond with his children post-divorce from Angeline Jolie. According to a source, the “F1” star reportedly asked his former father-in-law, Jon Voight, for help. Pitt believes that with Voight as a mediator, he might be able to mend the strained relationship with his children. Pitt shares his kids – Pax, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne – with ex-Jolie.
An insider told RadarOnline.com that the 61-year-old star is “grasping at straws at this point, and he’s asking Jon to step in to make peace – or at least give their fractured situation a little stability.” Apart from Voight, Pitt is also asking for help from “other family members and L.A. friends” as well. However, for now, “he’s starting with Jon and hoping he has the impact.”
Looking at his efforts, Jolie’s father is also eager to help Pitt. After he contacted Voight, “they put their heads together to figure out how to fix things.” Per source, Voight is “very willing to jump in and help any way he can.” Although, the “Coming Home” star “sees nothing of the extended family,” he is ready to take a chance as he “loves those kids deeply.”
After all being said and done, Voight, however, “isn’t expecting his hopes up.” He believes “at the end of the day, it’s up to the kids if they want to reconcile with their dad and reestablish that trust and warmth again.” The insider further added that if Jolie had earlier “encouraged the children to see Brad and Jon, the effects would be powerful. But at this point, it’s worth a shot.”
