Kate Upton and her husband Justin Verlander are now a family of four. The couple had kept their second pregnancy under wraps until now. However, Upton’s rep has now confirmed that the model has recently welcomed their second baby, a boy, to the family.
Answering the big question, the representative revealed that the couple has named their newborn son Bellamy Brooks Verlander. With the new addition, the couple is over the moon and back to the baby duties. Upton and Justin are also parents to a 6-year-old daughter, Genevieve.
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are parents for the second time, says rep
Kate Upton and husband Justin Verlander welcomed their second baby, whom they have named Bellamy Brooks Verlander, and their family has just got bigger. A rep for Kate told TMZ that the baby boy was born on June 19. The couple has not made any official statement about the newborn yet. However, in a June 20 post on X (formerly Twitter), the San Francisco Giants confirmed the 42-year-old athlete had been “placed on the Paternity List.”
Upton and Verlander had been in a relationship since 2014, before getting married in 2017 in Tuscany, Italy. The model and her San Francisco Giants pitcher welcomed their first child, daughter Genevieve Upton Verlander, in November 2018.
The couple has always been private about their personal life. However, while speaking about being a mom of a daughter, Upton told extratv that it feels special. “Being a mother, especially to a daughter, motivates you in so many ways to really be aware of the messaging that is put out there for young women,” the model told last May.
Sharing her daughter’s qualities with People, Upton told the outlet that Genevieve “loves to dance and have a good time.” The proud mom also revealed that her little girl “loves to be in the moment.”
Even Verlander opened up about his fatherhood and career with People in 2019. The athlete said he would “like to be able to play long enough” so that his daughter can “see” and “remember” him “playing baseball when she grows older.”
