Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Netflix Deal Comes With a Huge Personal Cost, Says ‘Source’

In a surprising turn of events, Netflix is reportedly making a daring negotiation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in case they ever get divorced. Per the latest reports, the streaming platform has negotiated a new $153 million deal with the couple. As such, Netflix is allegedly capitalising on the shifting power dynamics from 2020 to the present.

‘Source’ claims Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix deal comes with a divorce clause

The revelation that a rumored $153 million Netflix deal for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle includes a “divorce clause” has shocked Hollywood and royal circles alike. According to Radar Online’s report, Netflix is pushing for a stunning condition. The controversial condition will allow them to secure their rights to conduct the first post-divorce interview should the couple ever decide to separate.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from royal duties in 2020. They relocated to California and struck multi-million dollar deals with platforms such as Spotify and Netflix. However, their recent projects, such as Meghan’s “With Love, Meghan” and Harry’s polo documentary, did not perform well enough. This, along with rumored rifts between the couple, led to Netflix’s realization it had the leverage to use the situation. Hence, the company added the controversial “divorce clause,” causing tensions between the couple and Netflix.

A source told Radar Online, “Netflix isn’t mucking around this time. They know Harry and Meghan need them more than the other way around, so how good this deal is depends on how far they’re willing to go when it comes to sharing their story.” “Everyone can see, with the stress of everything, that there are cracks starting to show, and it’s only fair that Netflix get first dibs on an interview if they do eventually divorce,” the insider added.

Additionally, the streaming giant requested options to feature the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, conflicting with Harry’s privacy concerns. While the source claimed, “Neither of them wants to sign any deal that has a divorce clause in it,” all eyes are on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their comments on the matter.
