Kelly Clarkson’s Exit Rumors Leave Show Staff ‘Uncertain,’ ‘Producer’ Claims

Kelly Clarkson‘s rumored exit from her popular talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” has left its staff worried for their jobs. Speculation of her potential exit arose when the host missed out on a couple of shows in March. There have also been rumors that the former “TODAY” show co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, will be taking over Clarkson on the talk show after the singer’s NBC contract expires next year. Although the staff is reportedly worried about their job after Clarkson’s exit, they are optimistic about Kotb’s role as the new host.

Kelly Clarkson’s show’s staff members allegedly think everything ‘could collapse any minute’

For several weeks, rumors have been swirling about Kelly Clarkson exiting “The Kelly Clarkson Show” after her contract expires in 2026. According to the Daily Mail, the singer would eventually move on from NBC when her $12.8 million contract is up for renewal. However, this uncertainty has reportedly left the talk show’s staff on edge.

A producer from the talk show told the outlet that Clarkson’s uncertain talk show future has only left the staff concerned about their jobs. Speaking from their experience, the producer admitted to “not feeling too stable.” They also wondered what the host’s sudden exit might leave them with. The source continued, “Stressed is an understatement. No one likes the uncertainty. This feels like it could collapse any minute.”

Last week, Deuxmoi reported that the former “TODAY” show co-anchor Hoda Kotb will be replacing Kelly Clarkson as the new talk show host. The report also claimed that netizens can expect an official announcement sometime this week. This rumored change, however, is a welcoming move for the show’s crew.

The producer further expressed that “everyone loves” Clarkson, but Kotb would potentially turn out to be a “better boss.” The source acknowledged Kotb’s earned popularity and respect from her former workplace. According to the producer, “Maybe she [Kotb] would be good. She sure would be a lot more stable than what we’ve been going through.”

“The Kelly Clarkson Show” premiered in 2019 and has run for six successful seasons. The talk show also celebrated its milestone 1,000th episode in March.
