The singer has continued to focus on herself since parting ways with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children. Clarkson’s marriage to the talent manager ended in 2020 after nearly seven years, while their divorce was finalized in 2022. Over three years later, an “insider” has hinted that Clarkson might be open to finding love again.

Kelly Clarkson recently hinted she might be ready to open her doors to dating again. This comes almost five years after the singer’s split from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Life & Style exclusively learned from an “insider” that Clarkson “seems to be slowly warming up to the idea of dating.” Previously, while appearing on the May 6 episode of the “TODAY” show, the television personality opened up about the story of her new song “Where Have You Been.”
Clarkson explained, “It’s a song about that intimate moment where you finally go, ‘Wow! I just found the unicorn situation, and I did not know that was on the bingo card for my life.'” This prompted the host, Jenna Bush Hager, to ask the singer if she is hopeful for a “unicorn moment” happening to her, too. Clarkson replied, “Yeah, I mean, I hope it does,” and continued, “I will say, I’m not ‘not looking,’ and I’m not looking.” She added, “I just, I’m very busy.”
Clarkson has not publicly dated anyone since her divorce from Blackstock. However, the “Because Of You” singer’s reply suggested that she might let love knock on her door again. Meanwhile, the insider also told Life & Style that the drama of Clarkson’s split “took a big toll” before the divorce was finalized in 2022. This included battles over “money, property and custody.” The insider claimed, “She was truly traumatized by it all.”
Nonetheless, Clarkson seems to have moved past that chapter. The insider further noted that the “Stronger” hitmaker “appears to have her confidence back.” They added, “She’s in a good place.”
