Ahsoka Star Shares Major Production Update About Season 2

A surprise update from the set of Ahsoka Season 2 has captured Star Wars fans’ attention worldwide. The unexpected reveal came directly from one of the show’s lead stars, linking the highly anticipated Disney+ sequel to a major behind-the-scenes milestone.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo hints she has wrapped filming for Ahsoka Season 2

Natasha Liu Bordizzo confirmed that she completed filming for Ahsoka Season 2. The actress, who plays Sabine Wren in the Disney+ Star Wars series, shared an update on Instagram after spending seven months in Richmond, England. She posted a behind-the-scenes silhouette photo of herself and Rosario Dawson in costume as Sabine and Ahsoka Tano. The image marked the end of her work on the new season.

Filming for Ahsoka Season 2 began in April 2025 in the United Kingdom after Lucasfilm renewed the series in January 2024. In late September, director Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed that she had finished work on two episodes. Bordizzo’s update supports this, showing that production is nearing completion before the show’s 2026 Disney+ release. It also signals that the series has entered its final stages of post-production and wrap-up scheduling.

Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, and Eman Esfandi remain part of the ongoing shoot. Christensen confirmed his return as Anakin Skywalker after appearing as a Force ghost in Season 1. He later canceled a convention appearance set for late October 2025, suggesting that he was still filming scenes for Season 2 alongside the rest of the main cast.

Dave Filoni created Ahsoka, which follows Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren after they become stranded on the planet Peridea. The new season will explore Sabine’s Jedi training and the threat of Grand Admiral Thrawn. The cast includes Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eman Esfandi, Lars Mikkelsen, and Hayden Christensen. The series will premiere on Disney+ in 2026.
