The Witcher Season 4 Release Date Window Possibly Revealed

The Witcher Season 4 release date has become a major topic of speculation as fans wait for the show’s 2025 return. The new chapter picks up after the dramatic events of Season 3, when Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer went their separate ways. Liam Hemsworth steps into the role of Geralt, while several new cast members expand the Continent’s story.

The Witcher Season 4 could get a late October release date

According to Redanian Intelligence, the series, which wrapped filming in October 2024 and has since been in post-production, is targeting the last days of October. Evidence points to October 30 as a likely slot in Netflix’s upcoming lineup, although the streamer has not confirmed the date.

Redanian Intelligence revealed that Liam Hemsworth will appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show on October 28, 2025. Since Hemsworth’s only confirmed project is The Witcher, the timing suggests he will promote the new season. The show’s listing, which names Hemsworth as a guest alongside Phoebe Robinson, reinforces the late October release window.

Netflix has confirmed The Witcher will return in 2025. However, the streamer has not shared a trailer or promotional material for Season 4 yet. Season 4 will reportedly release all eight episodes at once, unlike Season 3, which Netflix split into two volumes. Redanian Intelligence confirmed that The Rats: A Witcher’s Tale, a spinoff special, remains in development and will premiere later in 2025.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich announced earlier this year that the team is filming Seasons 4 and 5 back-to-back to finish Andrzej Sapkowski’s saga. Season 4 introduces Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill. Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Regis, while Sharlto Copley and James Purefoy take on the roles of Leo Bonhart and Skellen, respectively.

The season adapts Baptism of Fire and continues into The Tower of the Swallow and Lady of the Lake to set up the final run. The story picks up after Season 3’s ending, when Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer separate. The new episodes follow their paths across a war-torn Continent as they forge alliances and confront old enemies.
