President Donald Trump recently attracted a lot of negative attention after he made several contradictory statements. These statements were regarding the Iran war within a span of a few minutes. In the clip, which reportedly aired on CNN, Trump’s contradictory statements are highlighted with time stamps.
In the video, Trump can be heard saying, “We want them to come and help us,” referring to the allies. Soon after, he said in the same address, “My attitude is ‘we don’t need anybody. We are the strongest nation in the world, we have the strongest military…we don’t need them.'” This was one instance of the many contradictions he made throughout the address.
The clip drew many responses from users across the world, especially on the social media platform Reddit.
“He’s incapable of reviewing the minutes of the meeting his mind had 10 minutes prior,” one user said in response to the clip. “He doesn’t comprehend the things he’s reading. It’s as if he is just a mouthpiece regurgitating what he can manage to read. When he does realize what he’s saying, he goes off script,” another user noted.
“Dude has dementia. It pisses me off that reporters still crowd around him and ask him questions, yet no one asks him to draw a picture of a clock,” another user said, adding to the claims of Trump having health problems. “Yet MAGA will call this unfair and biased coverage,” another user added.
Many users also praised CNN for this coverage of Donald Trump. This is also not the first time that this has happened with Donald Trump.
