Afterward, he takes a seat as someone hands him his order. All smiles, he enjoys his burger with his Academy Award for Best Actor statuette placed on the table. People around him cheer and capture the fun moment on their phones.

Jordan beat Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet to win the award for Best Actor for his performance in The Sinners at the Academy Awards.

During his acceptance speech, he first thanked his parents, revealing that they had flown in from Ghana for the prestigious event. He then expressed gratitude to Ryan Coogler, whom he described as a “collaborator and a friend.” He gave him a shout-out for giving him the opportunity and space to be seen truly.

Before concluding his speech, he also thanked the CEOs of Warner Bros. studio for “believing in this, this dream, this vision of Ryan Coogler and betting on the culture and betting on original ideas and original artistry.”
